    Applied Energy Storage

logical sequence of developments to explain this interest and the worldwide activities in this area with a particular emphasis on the benefits of hydrogen based energy storage and the status of the related technologies to realise high penetration of renewables into the Australian electrical grid.

The presentation will compare the benefits of using battery, hydrogen and hybrid technologies, the challenges of mass scale adoption and their potential to increase the renewables share into the grid and reduce emissions. The presentation will also provide excerpts from the recently released National Hydrogen Roadmap by CSIRO.

The presentation will conclude with the projections on worldwide deployment of hydrogen based energy storage and suggestions on how this technology can play a critical role in meeting the load demand, stabilising the grid and reducing emissions from the residential energy sector.
